Natural talented fine artist appeals for help

A 23-year-old natural talented fine artiste Wonderful Chivunga is appealing for assistance in order to show case his capability professionally.

The fine visual artiste said he staggered to complete his ordinary level following the death of his father in 2018 which changed his lifestyle. He was forced to drop out of school at form three after he failed to secure tuition and stayed for two years before he resumed and sat for examinations last year.

Speaking to The Herald Youth Interaction, Chivunga said he never went to a school of art to learn how to do fine drawing, it was something that he used to do even during other lessons at school.

“Art has been my passion and I use it to express myself,” he said.

Chivunga said it was his dream to attain a professional qualification.

“I am appealing for help from anyone who is willing so that I can enrol at school of art to be a professional artist and become a world renowned artist, this is my ambition. I am 23 years old and I stay in Marondera. I am naturally talented in fine drawing and I started drawing far way back when I was at primary level and continue to nature myself to the extent that I would find myself drawing something during other lessons,” said Chivunga.

“I sincerely request help to buy all equipment needed for art because as it stands I don’t have even where to start from. My father passed on in 2018 before I completed my ordinary level, this led my mother to relocate to Harare where she is vending. She is always struggling to support us with all our basic needs.”

Chivunga also added that he is having challenges with his eye-sight.

“I also have visual impairments and I need specks to improve my eyesight so that when I’m drawing I could be able to see properly,” he said.

The young man has no permanent place of residence as he was currently stay with his uncle who is struggling to make ends meet because of being self-employed.
