They announced their engagement in October after just six months of dating, however Big Sean and Naya Rivera’s wedding has already been called off.
And the split quickly turned nasty, with Naya taking to Twitter on Wednesday to accuse her former fiancé of stealing from her.
In a tweet which has seen been deleted, but obtained by TMZ, she wrote: ‘‘@bigsean stealing rolexes from a lady’s house now. Maybe cuz I’m on Glee and making more money or something. #triflin.’’
Sean did not respond to the tweet or the allegations in it, but the rapper’s representative told Us Weekly that it was Sean’s decision to end the engagement and denied recent reports in Star magazine that he cheated on her.
His rep said: ‘‘After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off.’’
Most likely referring to both the cheating and stealing claims, the rep said: ‘‘The recent rumours and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue.’’
While he did not reveal the current status of their relationship, the rep alluded to some ‘‘issues’’ but added Sean hoped to work them out.
The representative added: ‘‘Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter.’’
Sources told TMZ the Rolex actually belonged to Sean who gave it to Naya to borrow but not to keep
Star magazine claimed Naya (27) ended the engagement after discovering 26-year-old Sean was cheating on her.
A source told the publication he got cold feet and “it was too much, too fast for him”.
However, an insider close to the pair insisted this was not true.
The source told Us Weekly: “Sean did not cheat on Naya and the allegations are 100 per cent false and untrue.”
And a source old TMZ that Sean never cheated, but decided to call off the wedding weeks ago because she was too “controlling” and ‘‘jealous’’ over women he worked with.
It was a different story in January when Naya gushed to Cosmopolitan For Latinas about the rapper.
‘‘I think he’s going to be an amazing husband, and he’ll make a great father someday,” she gushed of the star — real name Sean Anderson — whom she met on Twitter early last year before taking their budding romance offline. ‘‘He’s so kind to people.’’
Identifying the most with her Latin heritage, she’s half Puerto Rican, a quarter African-American and a quarter German the star proudly admitted that she inherited the tough, independent traits that come with it.
However, in Sean, she believed she had found someone who is equally strong, which she said was part of what drew her to him in the first place.
‘‘He wears the pants in our relationship, which I love,’’ she said.
‘‘We Latinas are very independent and strong, so it’s even sweeter that I’ve found somebody who can let me out of that role for a minute.’’ — Daily Mail.
