Ncube in accident

Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs Owen Ncube escaped unhurt when his BMW vehicle was involved in an accident between Gokwe and Kwekwe on Monday afternoon. Minister Ncube, who was also carrying two passengers, was driving from his Gokwe-Kana constituency on his way to submit his curriculum vitae (CV) for the Zanu-PF primary elections when the accident occurred.

Minister Ncube described the accident as “minor”.
“It was minor and there is nothing to write home about,” he said.
Witnesses said the minister lost control of the vehicle after hitting a cow.

The vehicle, they said, later hit some roadside boulders before it stopped.
“He was driving from Gokwe — where he was meeting with people in his constituency and later decided to travel back to Gweru — to submit his CVs when he was later involved in the accident,” said one witness.

It is understood that Minister Ncube later visited a private doctor, where he was reportedly given a clean bill of health.
His car was later towed to Kadoma.
