DYNAMOS coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, believes the difference in playing styles, between his side and FC Platinum, will guarantee a football feast for fans.
DeMbare host the defending champions, in the quarter-finals, of the Chibuku Super Cup, this weekend.
Ndiraya’s troops are known for their robust and defensive style of play, in comparison to Norman Mapeza’s possession-based approach.
The two sides appear to have perfected their styles and, maybe, it also explains why the Castle Lager Premiership has been a two-horse race.
Mapeza has been dominant over his counterpart, taking five points from a possible nine, in their previous three fixtures.
And, he is on course to winning his third Chibuku Super Cup, having won it twice, with the same team.
It’s also worth noting that Ndiraya’s best achievement came at the expense of Mapeza, in the same competition’s final, seven years ago.
“We are ready for any opponent and being in the last eight means you are a good team.
“We are excited to meet FC Platinum, we know what these two teams can bring on the table.
“Of course, we play different styles of football and that’s what brings the excitement,” said Ndiraya.
“We are clear about what we want to achieve.
“We are in control of the tournament and the league’s title race is no longer in our hands.
“We are just going to keep our eyes on the ball and hope that FC Platinum will slip up in the marathon for the championship.”
The reality is that the Chibuku Super Cup is likely to be the trophy the Glamour Boys can realistically get their hands on.
They are now eight points off the mark, with seven games to play, before the season ends.
A double for the Zvishavane miners is on the cards, should they win the tournament.
It will take a miracle for the platinum miners to lose their grip on the league title race.
They need four victories to land their fourth successive silverware.
