DYNAMOS coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, left for Belgium yesterday as the Glamour Boys’ 2020 pre-season preparations took another major huge leap forward.

Ndiraya will be attached to Belgian top-flight side KV Mechelen for 10 days and is expected to arrive in time to watch their Jupiler League home tie against Waals Beveren on Saturday night.

KV Mechelen are seventh on the Jupiler League table and last Saturday they posted a crucial 2-0 win over Anderlecht, the parent club of Warriors’ skipper Knowledge Musona, who is on loan at KAS Eupen.

Dynamos chairman, Isiah Mupfurutsa, revealed yesterday that Ndiraya was issued with a visa to enter Belgium.

The DeMbare boss added the move was part of a technical co-operation deal structured by the club’s Belgian partners, through consultant Gino Laureyssen, who has long standing links with Zimbabwean football.

Gino worked with ZIFA and former champions CAPS United in the past after being lured here by former Green Machine boss, Twine Phiri.

“This is part of the technical partnership that we have with our Belgian partners,’’ said Mupfurutsa.

‘’He will observe how Mechelen prepare for their home and away games, what sort of technology and tactics, and all that which they are using there.

“As part of the agreement we have with the Belgians, he will be attached to their entire first team technical department (headed by manager Wouter Vrancken) so he will operate just like a part of the club’s technical crew during his attachment.’’

Mupfurutsa said they were hopeful Ndiraya would be a better coach when he returns home on March 2, a few weeks before the start of the 2020 Castle Lager Premiership.

He follows in the footsteps of Chicken Inn coach, Joey Antipas, who has been a beneficiary of such arrangements in the past.

Antipas’ attachments in Europe were facilitated by his son, Quincy, who was playing top-flight football in Denmark.

Dynamos have invested a lot into their pre-season training which started last month.

They have gone out of their way to overhaul their squad in a massive signing-spree.

“We anticipate that he will learn a lot of things, and exchange ideas, with the Belgians,’’ said Mupfurutsa.

‘’We think that although there will be an exchange of ideas and all, we will no doubt benefit more.”

Mupfurutsa said they were expecting to host the Belgian coaching pair of Valerie Billian and goalkeeper specialist coach, Beelen Dirk Lode, for the second year running.

The Belgian coaches helped former Dynamos coach, Lloyd Chigowe, early last year and briefly worked with Ndiraya.
