TONDERAI Ndiraya versus Dynamos! It sounds weird, doesn’t it?But that will be the case at the National Sports Stadium tomorrow.
The league’s number one, Dynamos versus the bottom side, Simba Bhora, in a Castle Lager Premiership match.
DeMbare are going into this encounter on the back of a hundred percent record after back-to-back wins against Hwange and Sheasham.
Simba Bhora are bottom of the pile and are still yet to get a point in the big boys’ league in their two attempts.
The Glamour Boys’ defence is yet to be breached and they have scored a total of five goals.
The miners have conceded in each of their first two games.
The opening fixtures have been somewhat kind to Dynamos who have faced three of the newly-promoted sides.
In contrast, the Shamva side have already seen the beasts in this PSL by getting the season underway against clubs who earned a top three status last season.
Some pundits have even labelled Simba Bhora a miniature version of Dynamos as they have the men who used to lead DeMbare in their fold. They have chairman Isiah Mpfurutsa, coach Ndiraya and skipper Patson Jaure who all joined the miners in the same capacity.
Dynamos also had a good number of fans in their home assignment last week when they dismantled Sheasham 4-0.
DeMbare skipper, Frank Makatati, will face his former mentor, Ndiraya for the first time since starting their union at Ngezi in 2018.
The Glamour Boys coach, Herbert Maruwa, said he wants his charges to apply the same mentality which they have shown in their opening fixtures.
And, he conceded that tomorrow’s opponents pose a serious threat to their flying start to the season.
