CHICKEN Inn leftback Xolani Ndlovu is determined to make a comeback to the Zimbabwe national team.
Despite being overlooked for recent call-ups, Ndlovu remains focused on improving his performances this season to catch the attention of national team coaches with a busy schedule of World Cup Qualifiers lined up for this year.
A product of Zim Leopards (now Bantu Leopards), Ndlovu has been one of the most consistent players for Chicken Inn, earning him the Players’ Player of the Year and joint Player of the Year in previous seasons.
He was one of the surprise exclusions from the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer league Soccer Stars of the Year list.
Ndlovu has also previously turned out for Tsholotsho FC where he rose to prominence before a move to the GameCocks.

With three national team caps under his belt, including his debut at the 2019 Chan tournament, Ndlovu is eager to add to his international experience.
Endowed with an amazing left foot the defender still has a national team dream.
“I’m not giving up on my national team dream. I’ll keep working hard and pushing myself to improve. I believe I have what it takes to make a difference for the Warriors, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to prove myself again.
“I’ve been in this situation before, and I know what it takes to bounce back. I’ll keep my head up, focus on my game, and hopefully, the coaches will take notice. I’m confident that if I continue to perform well for Chicken Inn, I’ll get another chance to represent my country.
“Playing for the Warriors is an honour, and I’m eager to be part of the team again. I’ll do everything in my power to make that happen,” said Ndlovu.
The Warriors will start their 2025 football year with the remaining 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
Zimbabwe will face Benin at home and Nigeria in the Group C of the World Cup qualifiers during the first international break of 2025 from 17-25 March.
In the following international window from 2-10 June, the national team will have a chance to arrange two international friendly games.
Ndlovu is targeting the World Cup and Cosafa Cup for his Warriors return.
The national team will play in the Afcon tournament, which starts on 21 December 2025 and will run until 18 January 2026.
