THE sons of Tshibilika/rhumba music legend Clement Magwaza and veteran music promoter Martin Sibanda, popularly known as Ngalabezi, have taken their first steps into the music industry with the release of their debut single.

Ten-year-olds Mimiza Khely Ncube, son of Clement Magwaza, and Sbusiso Sibanda, son of Ngalabezi, officially launched their music journey on Sunday with a song titled Siyakhula.

The single was produced by Dlala Ingoma, with mixing and mastering handled by Vibes. Despite their young age, the pair say they are determined to build on the legacies of their fathers while carving out their own identities in the music industry.

Mimiza, a pupil at Ngwanyana Primary School, and Sbusiso, who attends Tategulu Primary School, said growing up around music inspired them to pursue the craft from an early age.
“Being close to our fathers, we’ve learnt a lot from them and, above all, that music is a profession that can provide a sustainable livelihood.
“Siyakhula is our grand entrance into the music world as we want to keep the legacies of our fathers alive. People should expect more projects from us in the future,” said the duo.

The release of Siyakhula signals the beginning of what the two young artistes hope will be long and successful careers, while also introducing a new generation carrying forward two well-known names in Bulawayo’s arts and entertainment circles.
