Orlando Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro says the two goals he scored in the Soweto Derby were the result of an improving understanding of his teammates at training.
The 27-year-old bagged a brace in Piratesa 2-0 win over arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup last 32 fixture at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
It was only Ndoroas third start for coach Eric Tinkleras side since he joined from Mpumalanga Black Aces at the beginning of the campaign.
After being sidelined for much of the first half of the season due to Bucsa participation in the CAF Confederation Cup, Ndoro now has three goals and one assist to his name.
a?[The two goals in the Derby] was something from the training ground,a? says the Zimbabwean attacker.
a?Iam now getting to understand how to play with my teammates a the likes of Mpho [Makola], Sifiso [Myeni] a they know when I make a run that they should put the ball in behind, and that they expect me to put it into the back of the net.a?
Itas not quite what he did to knock Steve Komphelaas side out of their third knockout competition this season, but Ndoro sure looks like a new breed of attack for the Buccaneers, as he aims to create a better understanding with the creative players in the team.
