ZIMBABWE international and Orlando Pirates forward Tendai Ndoro has surpassed his last season’s seven goal tally after guiding his side to a slender 1-0 win over Free State Stars on Saturday.
The former Chicken Inn striker is now topping the ABSA Premier Soccer League goal scoring chart with eight goals, four clear from closest rival Jerom Brochie of SuperSport United.
At the rate he has been scoring for Orlando Pirates this season, Ndoro has become a serious contender for the 2016/17 ABSA Premiership Golden Boot.
South African soccer pundits have predicted that the goal scoring machine can surpass the 20-goal mark that has eluded PSL strikers in recent times.
Last season’s top goal scorer Collins Mbesuma finished on 14 goals for Mpumalanga Black Aces.
