Nelly addresses Floyd Mayweather feud, discusses ‘Tip Drill’

A feud has reportedly been forming between Floyd Mayweather and Nelly. On Monday, Nelly was asked about this purported beef with the boxer.
“I don’t have a beef with Floyd Mayweather,” Nelly said in an interview with ESPN’s Highly Questionable. “I think the whole thing is misunderstood. I try to understand where he’s coming from, which is a little hard to do. But it’s just one of those things. He is who he is. He’s one of those people that I don’t think he likes the word no said to him. I think if anybody does that, that’s what gets underneath his skin a little bit. But I don’t know. It’s kind of hard talking to a guy who hasn’t graduated from high school.”

Recently, 50 Cent mocked Floyd Mayweather, saying, “Nelly took your lady, champ.”
During the interview, Nelly also spoke about his video for “Tip Drill,” a cut off 2003’s “Da Derrty Versions: The Reinvention”. When asked if he regrets the raunchy clip, Nelly said he views the video as an artistic moment in his life.

“I never regret being an artist,” he said. “Being an artist, your responsibility is to create, to be artistic. I didn’t do anything illegal (with ‘Tip Drill’).” – HiphopDX.
