Nelson scores twice

Sports Reporter

REISS Nelson, the footballer who was once courted by the Warriors, scored his first brace for Arsenal in their 5-0 crushing win over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates yesterday.

The 22-year-old was brought in for the injured Bukayo Saka and scored twice, in the 50th and 53rd minutes, to help the Gunners return to the top of the Premiership table.

Nelson has a Zimbabwean father and English mother.

He was on the radar of the Warriors but appeared to be willing to chase his dream of playing for the Three Lions of England.

However, he has fallen down the pecking order for an appearance for England and even spent last season on loan in the Netherlands.

Yesterday was probably his best day at the Gunners as he also provided an assist for Thomas Partey who scored a beauty.
