Nengasha Stars serve intense act in Zifa Mat’land North league

NENGASHA Stars extended their blistering form in the Zifa Mat North Division 2A league after chalking up a crucial 2-0 away win against Corinthians at Chinotimba ground at the weekend to maintain their unbeaten run.

Godknows Mbewe and Kerinara Chirwa were on target as Stars went four points clear of second-placed Shumba Stars.

Shumba suffered a 2-3 defeat to fourth-placed Amagagasi.

Trumus Warriors earned a hard fought 3-2 win over Hwange Railstars, with a Suprime Mhlanga brace and Leslie Mulenga’s strike making the difference.

Vimbai Madziwa grabbed a brace for Railstars.

At Kasibo ground, Chipangano developmental side Hwange Reserves got the better of league debutants Kasibo Gunners 3-2, with goals by Keith Chuma (brace) and Desire Sibanda, while Gunners scored through Engelbert Sibanda and Bonaventure Ndlovu.

Madumabisa United shocked Ingagula with a 1-0 win, thanks to an Allen Sibanda strike.

Baobab Rovers finally remembered how to win a game by dismissing Classic Luyando 2-0 through Douglas Hamandishe and Ralph Siamusialela’s strikes.

In Binga 2B league, Saba and Young Talents posted wins over Mangani and Sowa respectively, while Binga Pirates and Chileya played out to a draw.
