The expo, set for 19 February, will see players in the wedding, hospitality and decoration sector marketing themselves to the public and creating markets for their products.
In an interview, the general manager of Nesbitt Castle, Mr Dustin Kennedy, said this was a chance for Bulawayo players to prove that they were capable of producing quality and services that are of international level.
“This expo is targeting Bulawayo service providers and about 80 exhibitors are expected to be exhibiting at this glamorous occasion.
“This is an annual event and we expect more people to come and showcase their products and services as a way of advertising themselves to the world,” he said.
He said this expo was targeting people into beverages, wines and spirits, cakes, décor hiring companies, event specialist planners, flowers and vehicle hire.
“The Zimbabwean wedding market is bursting with opportunities and it has become lucrative and competitive.
“With the average cost of wedding now pushing at $4 000, the rewards can be high for suppliers who get their marketing right and this is the best opportunity we are giving companies to exhibit at our wedding show which promises to be a vibrant and prolific wedding event,” Mr Kennedy said.
“As an exhibitor at the show, one will have to access not only brides but grooms, bridesmaids, friends and this will give his or her business a considerable boost.
“We will facilitate an interactive platform giving businesses the power of face to face contact where visitors can see, touch, feel, taste, smell and try on the products,” he said.
He said the expo was a great networking forum for those interested in extending and transforming their businesses.
“There are good signs of tourism in Zimbabwe hence this event may see businesses advertising themselves to tourists and foreigners who are always frequenting the city,” he said.
