House of Health is a member of the Health Products Association of Southern Africa which affiliates to the World Federation of Health Products Associations and is an active member of the Direct Selling Association.
In an interview, the regional manager of the organisation, Miss Alice Baabusi, said her organisation was there to financially empower individuals and entrepreneurs by offering them chances to build sound businesses of their own.
“We discovered that Africa was characterised by high poverty rates resulting in crimes and prostitution hence our mission is to give individuals financial freedom.
“We aim at giving people financial help by making them suppliers of our products or distributing them hence they can also come up with their business ideas and we offer them financial support,” she said.
Miss Baabusi said through this initiative, they were aiming at stimulating private enterprise and contributing to a healthier economy.
“This is a networking business whereby if one comes to the business, they can also introduce some people to the business hence they will be paid for doing that.
“This can help individuals to raise money to start their dream projects which can give them financial liberty because those who are working are not even getting enough to fend for their families,” Ms Baabusi said.
She said many entrepreneurs in countries like South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho and Australia had already benefited from this programme.
“We are still introducing the whole initiative in Zimbabwe and the response is not bad at all because people are coming in numbers to attend our workshops.
“We will be holding workshops in schools and other places as we also want company employees to benefit from this initiative because they are not paid enough either,” she said.
Ms Baabusi said professionals could benefit from this by practising network marketing whereby they would be selling goods directly to consumers through a network of distributors.
“This income includes discounts on direct purchase and discount rebates on the purchase of those in their network meaning they will be their own bosses,” she said.
