In a concerted effort to promote environmental sustainability, NetOne, in collaboration with the Ministry of ICT, TelOne, ZimPost and the City of Harare, spearheaded a major clean-up campaign across Harare today.
The initiative, launched under the directive of the President, mobilised teams to sweep through the Central Business District (CBD), Warren Park and the environs of David Livingstone Primary School.
The campaign underscores Zimbabwe’s ongoing commitment to building a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
Government institutions, corporate partners and local communities joined hands in this nationwide effort to tackle the pressing challenge of litter and waste management.
In the CBD, NetOne staff worked alongside officials from the Ministry of ICT, TelOne, ZimPost and the Harare City Council, clearing streets, pavements and public spaces to restore urban cleanliness.
Meanwhile, another NetOne team collaborated with students from Warren Park High School, nurturing a culture of environmental stewardship among the youth.

At David Livingstone Primary School, pupils teamed up with NetOne volunteers to clean their surroundings, instilling the values of responsibility and care for the environment from an early age.
Speaking on the sidelines of the campaign, NetOne Group CEO Engineer Raphael Mushanawani reiterated the company’s commitment to environmental conservation.
“At NetOne, we believe in a sustainable future for our country. Environmental conservation is not just a responsibility; it is a necessity if we are to secure a better tomorrow for future generations,” said Engineer Mushanawani.
He also highlighted NetOne’s pivotal role as a key partner in the upcoming COP15 Conference, scheduled to be held in Victoria Falls from 21 to 30 July 2025.
Today’s clean-up campaign stands as a testament to the power of collective action in addressing environmental challenges.
As Zimbabwe prepares for COP15, such initiatives not only showcase the nation’s dedication to global environmental goals but also ensure that local communities remain at the forefront of these transformative efforts.
