Petrotrade launches fuel card for easier fuel management

Business Reporter

PETROTRADE Zimbabwe, a State-owned trading company, has launched a new fuel card designed to make fuel management easier and more efficient for businesses and individuals.

Petrotrade, established in 2010, is responsible for downstream activities in the petroleum sector, including the import, distribution, and sale of petroleum products and lubricants through bulk sales and service stations across Zimbabwe.

The Petrotrade Fuel Card offers a range of benefits, including 24/7 access to fuel at nationwide stations, competitive fuel prices, and discounts.

“Users can also track their fuel usage and expenses through an online portal, making it easier to manage fuel needs,” reads part of the statement.

According to Petrotrade, the fuel card is designed to provide a convenient and secure way to purchase fuel, and it has advanced security features in place to prevent unauthorised use.

“The fuel card is suitable for both businesses and individuals looking to streamline their fuel expenses. Businesses can benefit from the card’s ability to track fuel usage and expenses, while individuals can enjoy the convenience and cost savings,” reads part of the statement.

To widen its retail network, Petrotrade has also entered into dealership arrangements with a number of service stations across the country.

Zimbabwe’s retail fuel sector is regulated by the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA), which licenses and monitors fuel stations, sets standards, and ensures fuel quality compliance.
