FOUR people died, while 18 others were injured after a driver of a Zupco-contracted Toyota Hiace lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road at the 50km peg along Mutare-Juliasdale Road on Monday.
In a statement on Tuesday, national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi said:
“The ZRP confirms a fatal RTA which occurred at the 50km peg along Mutare-Juliasdale Road on March 21, 2022 at about 1635 hours.
“The driver of a Zupco-contracted Toyota Hiace vehicle lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road resulting in the death of four people and injury of 18 others.
“The Police will release more details soon.”
