MY AFRICA CHILD AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION (MACYDO LEAD), a humanitarian organisation aiming to empower young people and groom them to become influential leaders, is set to host the Zimbabwe International Youth Trade Fair and Conference (ZIYTFC) on May 30 in Harare.
The engagement is expected to attract over 4 000 participants, including young business leaders, policymakers and industry experts from across the continent.
It is a direct investment in Africa’s future leaders and change-makers.
The conference, which is a transformative event for Africa’s young entrepreneurs, will tackle key challenges facing young entrepreneurs, such as access to mentorship, funding and skills development.
The event will be attended by an inspiring line-up of speakers, including Vusi Thembekwayo from South Africa.
Thembekwayo is an entrepreneur, venture capitalist and best-selling author.
Kwame Opoku of Ghana, a globally recognised futurist and innovation expert, will also be a speaker at the event.
Former African Union representative and champion for African excellence, Ambassador Arikana Chihombori-Quao, will also give remarks at the conference.
It will also serve as a launchpad for innovative businesses by connecting participants with investors, partners and the Government.
Speaking on the significance of the event, MACYDO LEAD managing director Vimbai Angela Butawu said: “ZIYTFC 2025 is a movement aimed at unlocking opportunities for young entrepreneurs across Africa. We are bringing together the brightest minds in business, investment and policy to ensure that Africa’s youth are equipped to lead the continent’s economic transformation. We want every young entrepreneur to leave this event with the knowledge, connections and confidence to take their businesses to the next level.”
Butawu also highlighted that fostering entrepreneurship at home helps in building a stronger and more innovative economy that can compete on a global scale.
