THE Affirmative Action Group (AAG), an indigenous business lobby group, has commended President Mnangagwa for championing the indigenisation and black empowerment agenda.

Mr Moses Chipi, a member of the AAG Mashonaland West branch, lauded President Mnangagwa and the ruling party for spearheading projects that have changed lives.

“As a businessman, miner and farmer, I owe my success to Government and Zanu PF. Our President supports the indigenisation drive, and I am one of the thousands of indigenous businesspeople who are reaping the fruits of Government’s empowerment thrust,” Mr Chipi, a Chinhoyi-based businessman said.

Mr Chipi made the remarks on the sidelines of President Mnangagwa’s recent visit to Chegutu, where he addressed legions of Zanu PF Mashonaland West supporters.

According to Mr Chipi, the establishment of the youth-focused Empowerment Bank, which was officially launched by President Mnangagwa in 2018, has helped enhance and improve livelihoods.

“This facility has helped many emerging businesses to access capital. At AAG, we are linking these businesses to markets. We are taking an active role in the fulfilment of both the NDS1 and Vision 2030 goals,” Mr Chipi said.
