held at the now popular venue and cultural hub, The Zimbabwe German Society (ZGS).
The tour consists of over 20 shows and an intense rehearsal and skills exchange programme.
The Acoustic Night All Stars will comprise four artistes — Rutendo Machiridza, Tariro Ruzvidzo, Prayer Soul and Kelvin Tapi.
These selected artistes have been part of the developmental programme at the acoustic night.
They have gone through various training and exchange programmes that have accorded them the opportunity to Germany.
This will further their skills and expose them to the international market.
The team will receive sustainability tools from their German counterparts through imparting knowledge and skills for sustaining their businesses beyond the acoustic nights.
Tuku will play a huge role as an advisor in the four artistes’ quest to break into the international arts arena.
Ambassador Tuku will exchange his own experience as part of a mentoring session that the Acoustic Night All Stars will receive from the legend. The Acoustic Stars and Tuku are set to meet at a private luncheon at the Zimbabwe German Society.
The luncheon will be part of discussions and sharing experiences as the artistes gear up for what appears to be the big stage.
Roberta Wagner, the director of the society, was overjoyed at the new development.
“The Zimbabwe German Society and the Acoustic Night Stars are honoured by Tuku’s drive and enthusiasm to help young artistes in his busy schedule,” said Miss Wagner.
“This will go a long way in helping young musicians as they seek a breakthrough in their music careers.”
The Acoustic Night began in 2009 with a handful of musicians and has to date grown to becme a prestigious event that attracts a huge audience.
