BATSWANA gospel diva, Relifiwe “Fifi” Sibanda, who is promoting her debut album “God’s Love”, is set to tour Zimbabwe during the Heroes and Defense Forces holiday in August.

The United Kingdom-based singer, who is married to a Zimbabwean, Evans Sibanda, said she is using the tour to commemorate and mark the Heroes and Defence Forces days.

“As a Batswana who is married to a Zimbabwean, Zimbabwe is now my home,” she said. “For us, the tour is part of the Heroes and Defence Forces celebrations.”

Fifi, who has in the past worked with Sabastian Magacha on the song “Mororiseng” said coming to perform in Zimbabwe was an easy decision.

“Apart from my love for this country, the fact that Zimbabweans are passionate about gospel music and their love of God influenced me to come,” she said.

She has also previously worked with Zimbabwean gospel artist Zowie Mutangadura and producer Ngoni “Gee” Gwasira.

Using the Harare tour as a springboard to promote the new album, Fifi will also tour a number of Southern African countries which include them Zambia, Mozambique and South Africa.

Before producing “God’s Love,” Fifi has been releasing singles, with “Hossana” and “Rock of Ages” being some of her better-known songs.

In an interview with The Sunday Mail Online, the gospel diva was clearly excited about the impending tour.

“For the past few months, I have been holed up in the studio as I was working on the album,” she said. “I cannot wait to start my Southern Africa tour as I will be ministering the word of God and at the same time promoting my new album.”
