BENJAMIN LOCK is scheduled to meet Hong Kit Wong to open Zimbabwe’s World Group II Davis Cup play-off against hosts Hong Kong at the Victoria Park Tennis Stadium on Saturday.

The Zimbabwe top seed’s younger brother, Courtney, is then slated to meet Hong Kong’s Coleman Wong during the day’s second three-set singles match-up.

The Lock brothers are then expected to team up to square off against the Asian pair of Coleman Wong and Chun Hun Wong in Sunday’s doubles.

The two teams then wrap up the Davis Cup tie with the reverse singles, in which Coleman Wong plays Benjamin Lock and Courtney squares off against Hong Kit Wong, during the second day of the play-off.

“The draw came out today and I’m playing first, which is what we wanted tactically as a team,” said Benjamin Lock after Friday’s draw.

“The hope is that I can win, get us on the board first and apply some pressure on the home team.

“The game plan is to take it point by point and stay extremely focused for the whole match.”
