REIGNING national and provincial champions Vixens face their biggest test to date when they meet second-placed UZ Sparks at the City Sports Centre on Sunday.
The match-up between the two will headline round 19 of the Harare Basketball Association (HBA) Super Six League, which will also see men’s runaway log leaders JBC square up against Bucs in another highly anticipated clash.
The two teams have been the stand-out performers of the new format, with JBC holding a perfect record of 18 wins in 18 matches.
Vixens, on the other hand, currently have a15-match unbeaten run. However, UZ Sparks are one of three teams to have beaten Vixens this term and appear to have kept pace with the log leaders, who they trail by a single point on the log standings.
It promises to be a heated match-up, with the winners likely to put one hand on the title.
In the other matches, Harare City play JBC Women, while Greenstars have a date against Bunnies.
In the men’s category, UZ Stars play Harare City Hornets, while Leopards Academy meet Foxes.
