NEW: Billiat out again

Sports Reporter

KAIZER CHIEFS coach Gavin Hunt is not sure when Zimbabwean star forward Khama Billiat will recover from his latest injury.

Billiat was missing when Chiefs lost 0-1 against Chippa United in a DSTV Premiership clash on Wednesday night, and Hunt admitted he is not sure when the Warriors’ star will be back in action.

He recently returned from an injury which had kept him out for about three months, but had to be taken off in the 2-1 victory over DSTV Premiership log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

“I am not sure. He’s got a kick on the same leg that he broke, so it’s not good.

“With us playing every two or three games, if you miss two or three weeks, he is going to miss a lot of games again,” Hunt told South African media after the defeat to Chippa United.

“So, I am not sure what the diagnosis is there, but he certainly was not walking well.

“Well, he couldn’t walk really,” Hunt was quoted by Soccer Laduma.

The star player missed Zimbabwe’s last two AFCON qualifiers against Botswana and Zambia due to injury, and he is now a doubt again for the Warriors who face South Africa in a World Cup qualifier early June.
