MANICA DIAMONDS’ top man, Fortune Binzi, who has been scoring for fun in recent weeks, was once again on target with a brace that condemned Chicken Inn to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Gem Boys at Gibbo Stadium  last week on Saturday.

The result left Jairos Tapera’s men in fourth position on the Castle Lager Premiership table.

The 24-year-old Sakubva-born and raised striker, who was duly awarded the Footballers’ Union of Zimbabwe (FUZ) Player of the Month for April, is the only player to have scored a hat-trick in the 2023 Castle Lager Premiership season so far.

The former Zamba Primary and Mutare Boys’ High school learner shot to the top of the Castle Lager Premiership Golden Boot race a fortnight ago when he raised his tally to six before adding two more against Chicken Inn at Gibbo Stadium in Triangle.
