Government is satisfied with the ongoing cooperation between Zimbabwe and Brazil aimed at boosting cotton production and productivity, acting Foreign Affairs and International Trade Minister Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri has said.

She was speaking during the 202nd Independence celebration for Brazil in Harare on Friday.

Minister Muchinguri said the support Zimbabwe was getting from Brazil in the agricultural sector was playing a pivotal role in boosting the country’s food security.

“The government of Zimbabwe is equally pleased with the technical support and cooperation between our two countries in the area of livestock farming, and pasture management and development.

“We note the significant progress already registered in the implementation of the livestock and pastures development and improvement project since its launch in November 2019,” she said.
