NEW: Bus driver, 3 conductors arrested for possession of dagga

A BUS driver and three conductors were arrested in Kadoma, in the early hours of Wednesday, after being found in possession of dagga weighing 50 kilogrammes.

The quartet were nabbed after police received a tip-off that they were ferrying the prohibited drug.

In a statement, national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said:

“On July 12, 2022 at around 0030am, police in Kadoma reacted to a tip-off and arrested a bus driver, Wonder Ndlovu (38) as well as three bus conductors, Janet Dhimigu (42), Passwel Gidza (24) and Brighton Mangwiro (29) for illegal possession of a 50kg bag of dried dagga at the 5km peg along Kadoma-Patchway Road.”

Investigations are continuing.
