NEW: BUSE applies for radio license

Online Reporter

Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE) has applied for a campus radio license with the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ).

In a recent public notice, BAZ informed stakeholders of the application.

“Take notice that the applicant has applied for a Broadcasting Service Licence in terms of Section 10 of the Broadcasting Services Act (12:06),” the notice read.

Those who have opinions or objections to the application were called to engage BAZ within a 14 day period.

BUSE becomes the latest institution of higher learning to pursue a campus radio project.

Great Zimbabwe University, University of Zimbabwe and Harare Polytechnic have already had their applications approved.

Government is pursuing Education 5.0, through which the gap between the classroom and industry is being reduced, and campus radios are a central part of that strategy.
