A MUTARE businessman was left counting his losses after two women stole US$1 200 from his wallet following a fling at his Morningside residence.

Beatrice Munetsi and Tatenda Kauza pleaded guilty to theft charges when they appeared before Mutare magistrate, Ms Thandiwe Sibanda today.

Mr Thurston Mubvumbi prosecuted.

He said Richard Pamire (36) lost the money after inviting the duo to his place.

“The accused committed the offence after visiting the complainant’s Morningside residence. Pamire only realised the theft after the pair had left. He made a police report leading to the two’s arrest,” said Mr Mubvumbi.

The duo was remanded in custody to Wednesday for sentencing.
