NEW: Buy Zimbabwe to host 2026 Buy Local Conference

BUY ZIMBABWE, in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, will host the Buy Local Conference on March 19 in the capital.

The conference, regarded as Zimbabwe’s flagship platform for advancing the local content agenda, is set to spotlight the quality of locally manufactured goods, as well as promote home-grown products.

Running under the theme “Made in Zimbabwe – Make Local, Win Africa”, the 2026 edition will emphasise the critical role of local production in driving economic growth and positioning Zimbabwe to fully benefit from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Speaker of Parliament Advocate Jacob Mudenda will be the guest of honour at the event.

Other expected dignitaries include Industry and Commerce Minister Mangaliso Ndhlovu, Mines and Mining Development Minister Polite Kambamura and the Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development, Dr Anxious Masuka.

Members of Parliament, Permanent Secretaries and other senior Government officials are also expected to attend.

More than 400 delegates, including parastatal executives, captains of industry and representatives from academia, will participate at the high-level gathering.

Running concurrently with the conference will be an exhibition showcasing exclusively Zimbabwean-made products and services, celebrating the diversity, innovation and quality of local industry.

The exhibition is expected to provide businesses with an opportunity to network, forge partnerships and expand market access both locally and across the continent.
