NEW: Chawapiwa finds new home

FORMER Warriors winger, Talent Chawapiwa, has joined GladAfrica Championship side Platinum City.

This follows his departure from DStv Premiership club, Sekhukhune United.

Chawapiwa, who played for Baroka and Amazulu in the South African top-flight before joining Sekhukhune, is now trying to revive a seemingly fading career at Platinum City.

Platinum City are seventh on the log and six points behind leaders, Richards Bay.

The 29-year-old Chawapiwa spent the first half of the season at Sekhukhune after moving from Amazulu, where he had fallen down the pecking order.

He failed to establish himself at Sekhukhune, where he made eight appearances and no goals playing from the wings.

However, the Zimbabwe international is now set to make his debut for Platinum City after the international break, when his papers are expected to have been sorted out.

Platinum City coach, Aschwin Sutton, confirmed the signing of Chawapiwa in an interview with KickOff.

Chawapiwa has over 100 appearances in the South African PSL.

He joins former Orlando Pirates star, Oupa Manyisa, at Platinum City.
