President Mnangagwa has appointed Mr Tafadzwa Chinamo as the new chief executive officer of the Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA).

Mr Chinamo, who previously headed the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe, replaces Mr Douglas Munatsi, who passed away in November last year.

In a statement, ZIDA said the appointment was made “in a bid to strengthen the agency, improve investment facilitation and strategic partner engagement.”

Another new appointment to the ZIDA executive committee is Mrs Silibaziso Chizwina, who comes in as the chief development officer.

The executive committee is also made up of Mrs Duduzile Shinya, who is the chief finance and corporate affairs officer, and Mr Kudakwashe Nyashanu, who is the chief human resources officer.
