New Chinhoyi Court building progress excites Minister

Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi has applauded the workmanship on the new Chinhoyi Court building.

In his address after touring the building today, Minister Ziyambi who was accompanied by Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland West, Mary Mliswa-Chikoka, Judicial Service Commission secretary, Walter Chikwana and Chief Magistrate, Munamato Mutevedzi said the progress made has been remarkable.

He said the new building, which will house the High Court and Master of High Court among other services, was a sign that Government was concerned about bringing the judicial services to the people in line with Devolution agenda.

Upon completion at the end of this month, the court will become the country’s second biggest after Harare Magistrates Court. Chinhoyi also becomes the fifth seat of the High Court after Harare, Mutare, Masvingo and Bulawayo.
