MUTARE City Council has started the consultative meetings for its 2023 budget.
The exercise, which started last week on Thursday, is running until October 2 and will be held in all the respective 19 wards.
Residents associations, business community, schools, women, people with disabilities, works council, informal traders and small to medium enterprises, junior council and youth associations are expected to participate during council’s 2023 budget consultative meetings.
In a notice to the public, City of Mutare said the exercise is crucial as it enables the local authority to come up with a people-driven 2023 budget.
Council added that the exercise will capture the aspirations and expectations of residents and stakeholders through their input.
