PREMIERSHIP newboys Tenax breathed life into their fight for survival when they collected maximum points at Sakubva Stadium to overcome Harare City, while Manica Diamonds slipped down the log standings after defeat at Bulawayo Chiefs in the weekend fixtures.
Chauya Chikara climbed two positions up following their 1-0 victory over the Sunshine Boys to ease their relegation worries. This was their first win in five games after registering just a single draw and three losses.
However, the battle to avoid demotion back to Division One is still on as the prisons wardens occupy the last relegation slot on 15th position.
Tenax’s revival and survival mission continues when they visit Yadah Stars on Friday.
On the other hand, their city rivals Manica Diamonds have seen their title challenge crumble after tumbling from the top of the log standings to mid-table. The Gem Boys are now on ninth position.
They have a chance to redeem themselves when they face Dynamos at Sakubva on Sunday in a potentially exciting match that is set to attract a full house.
