MUTARE’S main swimming pool – Main Bath – has re-opened to the public after several years of inactivity.

City of Mutare spokesperson Mr Spren Mutiwi confirmed the development.

Swimming activities start tomorrow (Tuesday).

Entry charges are US$2 for adults and US$1 for children or the equivalent in local currency.

“The Main Bath, which had been closed for several months, is now re-opening for swimming activities. The pool will be open from Tuesday to Sunday every week between 10am and 4:30pm. Mondays are reserved for maintenance works,” said Mr Mutiwi.

He added: “There will be two sessions of three hours each per day, from 10am to 1pm and from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.”

Mr Mutiwi said the maximum number of swimmers per session is 50 for safety reasons.
