VICE PRESIDENT Constantino Chiwenga has called on everyone to ensure that they maintain a clean environment everyday of their lives instead of waiting for the national clean-up.

In an interview after leading the cleaning of the busy Birchenough Bridge Market in Buhera South today, VP Chiwenga said Zimbabwe needs to reclaim its status as the sunshine country through cleanliness.

“We are here at Birchenough Bridge to lead the clean-up exercise. This should not be a monthly thing, but a daily process. We should ensure that our homes and work stations are clean. Zimbabwe should reclaim its status as a sunshine country. Our market place should always be clean because we do not want them to be sources of diseases,” said VP Chiwenga.
