A NEW cocktail bar and restaurant, Mapiko, will be opening its doors to the public in Bulawayo today.

Located at the Cecil Hotel, the spot will be situated next to the recently opened Zansibar Hostess bar.

Tatenda Gwatidzo, one of the directors of the new spot, said the restaurant would offer customers the best of traditional and western dishes.

“We’re looking forward to serving different kinds of dishes and have gone a notch up to ensure we offer patrons something different,” he said.

Gwatidzo said customers would also be treated to laid back contemporary jazz music while sipping on a variety of beverages as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.

With a state-of-the-art décor, the restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinners daily.

“With an exquisite food and cocktail menu, Mapiko Cocktail Bar is a place for the mature and sophisticated client.”
