ANOTHER Zimbabwean cricketer, Kudzai Mutiti, has made inroads into the English game after signing for Great Houghton.
The 29-year-old all-rounder will play for the Northampton-based outfit during the upcoming season.
He will also take up coaching roles for junior teams.
“I am very much excited and I view this development as a dream come true,” Mutiti told The Sunday Mail Online.
“It is a vindication of all the hard work, effort and the people who helped in this journey. My coaches at Lendy Park and Springavlr House nurtured me into the player and coach that I am today.”
Mutiti expects to plough the experience he will get in England back into his Hokima Academy in Zimbabwe.
“The plan is to learn and absorb as much as I can, and then be in a position to bring all this knowledge and experience back home and implement it at my academy,” he said.
“The long-term plan is to make Hokima one of the best academies in the country, and, hopefully, this experience and exposure will help make that dream a reality.”
