THE ZIFA Eastern Region Division One local derby pitting Buffaloes and Mutare City Rovers, played before a packed Showgrounds Sports Arena yesterday, ended in a 0-0 draw.

The match started on a high tempo with all the ingredient’s of a derby, including emotive body language on the field of play, but somehow both team’s failure to find the target stole the thunder from what could have been an a thrilling encounter.

That Mutare City Rovers missed a first half penalty underlined the impotence and bluntness of both teams in front of goal.

In the end, the Mutare Premiership promotion contenders had to settle for a point apiece.
