New dates set for National Youth Symposium

THE Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training has set new dates for the National Youth Empowerment Symposium, which is expected to be headlined by President Mnangagwa.

The two-day symposium was initially meant to start on Thursday, with its official opening set for Friday.
In a statement, the Ministry’s permanent secretary, Mr Solomon Mhlanga revealed that the symposium has now been shifted to 21 and 22 October 2025.

“The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training wishes to inform its stakeholders, mainly the youths, development partners and the media that the National Youth Empowerment Symposium scheduled to be held on 31 July and 1 August 2025 at the Harare Agricultural Show Grounds has been postponed to 21 and 22 October 2025,” reads a statement from the Ministry.

President Mnangagwa is expected to launch the National Youth Empowerment Strategy, which will outline the Government’s commitment to youth economic empowerment across all sectors including priority actions and accountability measures.

The event aims to create a dynamic platform to connect young people with entrepreneurs, Government agencies, private sector players and development partners.
