NEW: Deputy Minister Kambamura scoops award

MINES and Mining Development deputy Minister, Polite Kambamura walked away with the Rising Star award at this year’s edition of the Institute of Corporate Governance Zimbabwe Awards recently.

The awards, which were held in Harare last Thursday, are meant to recognise individuals from both the public and private sector that have excelled in corporate governance.

Deputy Minister Kambamura said he was humbled at receiving the award.

“I believe corporate transformational change, comes about through people of impact, who have been transformed through the renewal of their minds.

“The award is a sign that the Second Republic means business,” he said.

Deputy Minister Kambamura is also the legislator for Sanyati Constituency.

He became the second public official from Mashonaland West province to be awarded for good performances recently.

At the end of November, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Mashonaland West, Mary Mliswa-Chikoka received the Outstanding Woman CEO Award 2022 by CEO Network Zimbabwe, at an event also held in Harare.
