AFTER a seven-year sabbatical, Afro-Kwasa artist Dino Mudondo’s recent release, “I Don’t Know,” has been fairly received.
The single, which will be officially launched on Saturday, is taken off the yet-to-be-released album, “Back from Front”.
The launch will be held at a venue along Seke Road near Chitungwiza.
Since its release on Independence Day, the single has received fair airplay on radio, television stations and online platforms.
Mudondo said the release of the song is opening doors for him.
“The release of the single has created many opportunities for me,” he said. “There has been a marked increase in the number of promoters who are requesting us to perform live.
“We have seen many great comebacks before when musicians who would have been ruled out as spent forces rise up and become successful again. I am now adding up some Afro-pop features to my music to attract new fans and also to prove my versatility.”
Mudondo formed a formidable combination with Afro-Jazz musician, Willbroad “Willom Tight” Muponda, in the early 2000s.
The duo held the nation spellbound with hits such as “Bhazi,” “Chirangano” and “Maikokoi,” among others.
