Dinson Iron and Steel Company (DISCO), which is setting up a multi-billion-dollar iron and steel mining and processing operation in Mashonaland East, Midlands and Masvingo provinces, has started the second phase of relocating displaced families.
This comes after the Chinese investor completed the construction of modern homesteads for affected families on the Mashonaland East side of the operation.
In a statement on Twitter on Tuesday, DISCO said it is working closely with affected communities and Government to ensure a smooth process.
“We have undertaken the second phase of relocating families on the Mash East side, who will be impacted by Manhize mining operations in Chikomba,” reads the statement.
“Working closely with communities and Government to ensure high-quality process, building back better; leaving no one behind.”
