NEW: Dynamos, Ngezi Platinum know CAF competitions opponents

Reigning Castle Lager Premier Soccer League champions Ngezi Platinum Stars are set to face Democratic Republic of Congo’s Maniema FC in their opening preliminary round match of the 2024/25 edition of the CAF Champions League.

In another draw conducted on Thursday afternoon, 2023 Chibuku Super Cup Winners’ Dynamos were paired with Zambia’s Zesco United in the opening round of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederations Cup 2024/25.

If Dynamos win over the two legs, they will face either Foresters FC of Seychelles or Orapa United of Botswana in the second preliminary round in September.

The winner between Ngezi and Maniema will face Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, also known as Petro Atlético, in the next round.

The first legs of the competitions will be on the weekend of August 16 to 18, with the return legs a week later.
