THE newly established Action Empowerment Zimbabwe (AEZ) is currently on a nationwide drive to recruit members.
It has since set up structures in all of the country’s 10 provinces.
AEZ president Mr Alson Darikayi said the organisation’s goal is to reach and empower as many Zimbabweans as possible.
“AEZ is not as elitist as some of the empowerment groups that we have. Instead, ours is a grassroots-based organisation which caters for every Zimbabwean,” he said.
“Our membership currently stands at 100 000. Our major focus is to train and then empower individuals and communities. Our target is to have a membership of more than two million by year-end.”
Last week, AEZ conducted a capacitation workshop in Caledonia on the outskirts of Harare.
