An eight-member delegation from Eswatini today paid a courtesy call on President Mnangagwa at State House in Harare, where they discussed a range of issues, including areas of bilateral cooperation.

Speaking after the meeting, Prince Lindani, son of King Mswati III and head of the delegation, said they had congratulated President Mnangagwa on Zimbabwe’s election to a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

“We came here first to congratulate His Excellency on the milestone of Zimbabwe and what they have achieved thus far, being nominated and elected to represent the continent in the UN Security Council seat 2027-2028,” he said.

“His Majesty congratulates his dear brother on that and he knows that the President is very capable.”

Eswatini and Zimbabwe continue to enjoy cordial relations, with cooperation spanning trade, investment and other areas of mutual interest.

The visit follows President Mnangagwa’s trip to Eswatini in April this year, where he attended the double celebrations marking King Mswati III’s 58th birthday and 40 years on the throne.

President Mnangagwa also attended Eswatini’s 57th Independence celebrations in 2025.
