THE Meteorological Services Department (MSD) has warned farmers against early planting, as the 2023-24 rainy season is yet to begin.

In its latest update, the MSD said: “Early planting is only recommended for those with means of irrigating. For better advice, please consult your local Agritex officer.”

According to the MSD, sunny days are expected across the country, at least up to the end of this week, with both minimum and maximum temperatures expected to rise.
