NEW: Free cleft lip and palate surgery next week

FREE cleft lip and palate surgeries will be performed at Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital by the Global Cleft & Cranio-Facial Organisation from Friday to Sunday next week.

Parents are encouraged to go with their children for screening on Thursday.

The programme is being funded by Global Cleft & Cranio-Facial Organisation in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Child Care, Innscor Africa Limited, Smile Train, and Celebration Church, amongst other organisations.

In a statement, the Global Cleft & Cranio-Facial Organisation said: “A team of doctors will be conducting free screening and surgery for cleft lip and cleft palate at Sally Mugabe Children’s Hospital.”
